As part of ANNUALE 2013, organised by Embassy Gallery, artists Samantha Jack and Carolina Alcazar Rosal will be running an art and activism workshop on Saturday 8th June, 11am - 4pm, at The Autonomous Centre of Edinburgh, a safe space to create, discuss and swap ideas.

What role do you think art plays in activism?

What is protest art?

Can art influence change?

Free tea, coffee and snacks! Drop-in, you can stay for as long as you want, 5 minutes or the whole day, it's up to you!

Feel free to bring old t-shirts that you want to customise (we can make stencils) and magazines to cut up for collage posters. Basic art materials for making stencils, banners, posters, flyers will be provided.

Making is optional you can just pop along for conversation, to raise current issues you feel need addressed, a free hot beverage or just to have a wee nosey!

A zine will be produced after the workshop featuring any work produced, stories shared and issues raised, everyone that comes along to take part will get a free copy if you leave your name and contact details.
